Andrew is a high honors graduate of the elite Philips Exeter Academy. During his pre-college years, Andrew was a Future Cities winner and Minecraft guru. In past summers, Andrew has instructed engineering and team building to middle schoolers, as well as 3D Printing at Spark Skill. He is a physics major at the Occidental University.
Dr. McCue is the Dummies author of Getting Started with Coding for Kids and the upcoming Getting Started with Engineering for Kids. She is a STEM guru, and has previously worked at NASA and PBS. Her latest project, the Adelson Education Campus Startup Incubator, is the largest school-based maker space in the country.
Rachel is a licensed educator serving as a technology integration specialist and STEM teacher at the Adelson Education campus. She teaches students in grades K-8 everything from coding in Scratch and MicroWorlds EX to introductory engineering design, robotics, and electronics. Rachel leads a popular after school coding club, coaches colleagues in implementing a schoolwide one-to-world device initiative, and is a returning Spark Skill instructor.
Leon is a certified flight instructor and an expert tinkerer in electronics, mechanical engineering, drones and 3D fabrication. He has substantial entrepreneurial experience, and was a founding employee of Evernote, serving as the Director of Customer Service for over 100 million users. He is also the winner of "Get Started Las Vegas 2015."
Wes is an advanced honors graduate of West Career and Technical Academy. He is a freelance graphic designer with 4 years of experience and currently the motion graphics artist for Arizona startup EventKey. Wes is a Graphic Information Technology student at Arizona State University.
Elijah is a graduate of WCTA's Digital Media Academy, an award-winning Scratch coder, and a UNLV computer science major. He has previously taught animation and 3D modeling to middle school audiences. Elijah is a master of all things Rubik's Cube, and encourages students to challenge him with the latest of such puzzles.
Ian is the founder and director of Spark Skill. A native Las Vegan, he is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in STEM and educational ventures, along with a passion for promoting youth engagement in coding, engineering and business development. He is is coauthoring the upcoming "How Any Kid Can Start a Business" book with Shaan Patel and Mark Cuban.
